Could you tell a bit more than that? Like which port you prefer to start your career from or which sub type is your favorite? You know it yourself, since you play SH4.  sm09

How far along in your career are you? I'm currently in May 1943 myself. Biggest warship I've bagged has been a Mutsuki-class DD, but merchant-wise I've bagged a couple Huge European Liners. What's your largest warship and merchant sunk?
