Public announcement: happy day

Today, I got one of the nicest calls ever:

I have been hired as teacher for a high school.
I will be teaching French from August 1st, and later on maybe also German, when the schedule will be ready for it.

I am SO HAPPY right now, you cannot imagine.  j12

Update on this.
I have had this new teaching job for some time now, and by god it's hard.
Not to do the teaching itself, the young students are nice and receptive for my teaching. At least, so it seems.  sm08
No, it's because of lots of meetings over lots of bureaukratic stuff... It's killing me slowly. It's really annoying so much stuff I have to consider and most of it seems like worthless boring stuff...  banghead
Oh, well, I guess it will be routine one day.....

One of my sisters has been teaching for many years.  Her main complaint is our (US) failed "No child left behind" program which focuses on teaching to pass benchmark tests rather than teaching.  Other then that, she loves it, has stayed with it, and is just a few years from retirement - which is a whole 'nother subject over here now... LMAO

And now it seems, I'm going to move to a new home also. I was a bit tired of travelling 250 km back and forth nearly every day....
So I have been offered a new home: a 2 room apartment (67m2) with a small garden. Nice  dangeek
My present apartment is a 2 room 50m2 apartment, so it's a bit more space plus a garden. Yes, it's so much better. :-)

Damn a hard week I have had so far.... I seriously need to relax  relaxxx but I'm so stressed about all the things I have to do, so I have no time for making a peaceful weekend in the couch or anything like that....  bts1

Looking forward to move, so I'll gain a daily 2½ hour on teaching days, which can easily be spent better than on the highways.

Most things like furnitures etc have been moved last weekend. Today, I have been cleaning the basement from the things I had to get rid off, like old papers from university etc, which I haven't looked at for years, old VHS tapes, which I haven't looked at for years either. Did save a few of them for sentimental reasons though. Throwing everything out at the recycling center did last quite some time too... Then it was time to clean the old appartment like removing the floor carpet. Damn, what a horrible work, when it's glued to the floor...  banghead
I still have a bit of work left.

Then some cleaning tomorrow plus bringing my things back to my new home. I really hope that I can bring back everything in one ride, but I begin to seriously doubt it. I have a feeling that two rides are needed. I'm spending the night here at my old home for the very last time. It's really kind of spooky...  gost
At least, I have some internet to entertain myself. The router is being brought back tomorrow too. It was nice with a vacation this week so that I could do all this work, but.... not so much a vacation as I understand a vacation to be. And I have some preparation work to do for my job too.... Damn it... arggggggg

Well, better get back to work. And thus I finish my last status report from the old Führer Bunker.  tiphat

I couldn't bring everything back in one ride, so I'll have to go again early tomorrow. And then it should be it. I even threw more stuff out today, thinking: well: since I haven't used this for years either, then why keep it? Like an old table and some chairs. Why keep them, if you never use them? They were useable though. That's why I have kept them in the basement. Well, there's a time to move on and forget about such things.

Now, I'm back in my new Führer Bunker, where there's a reason to party a bit...  ;D
