SH5 at give-away price - ok, I buy it

seriously, in Denmark you can now get SH5 for 10 DKK, approx. 1.32 €, and with freight 31 DKK, approx. 4.11 €.
The bright-eyed reader will notice that the freight price is higher than the actual game price...   sm01

I have for a long time refused to buy it, because of:
1) the missing u-boat types and missing late-war technology and campaign
2) the chosen anti-piracy technology
3) lack of support for this game

and in that order. But, now that the price is as low as this give-away price, then why not just try it out. But I don't have high expectations to be honest.

It seems I'll have to wait a bit longer.
The two shops advertising the game for a give-away price didn't have the game in stock anyway.
And I refuse to buy it at a price more than 100DKK. Lowest possible atm is 149DKK.
Oh, well, I can wait...

I bought it just before xmas from amazon for not very much, but not installed it yet! Got SH4 and U-boats several months ago and just couldn't get used to either the blue-ness of the seas (even North Atlantic in winter!!!) or the UI after many months of SH3.

Wish me luck with it.

It’s really strange if your machine can handle this game properly and not just at minimum settings it will be a good game to play and with the added mods even
Better.
But however if you machine stutters and pauses during game play it just isn’t working properly and it seems to miss things out like sometime ships  scrtg

Well, I have ordered this "game" from amazon just now.
GBP 8.82 is the total price to have it delivered.

I still don't have high expectations....
But I'll see how it will work out once a few more or less needed mods are added...

I'm standing off with Sh5 at the moment while Zedi/Trevally's Open Horizons is tested.
Hopefully Magnus Opus will then release an update.
I have really high hopes for playing SH5 with these two mods together  2thup

Sure, but right now the mod is in beta test and may suffer modifications. Better wait for the final release, hopefully in a week or so.

Okay, I have received SH5 now, and I have completed the tutorial.
What kind of crap tutorial that is.

I think I recall someone has written how to not be forced to make that tutorial whenever you start a new career!?

The "prices" you get though that Uplay. Is that content downloaded to the computer which is easy to make a backup of? Anyone knows?

I have of course allready downloaded some mods, which I kind of suspected would be nice to have for a SH5 beginner, plus I have added some mods of my own: either converted some from SH4 or made some adjustments with S3D. Is the GoblinEditor better for SH5 or what do you think?

And some are made from my own hand: like clouds and seafloor.
