But we have our own skills to pass that. I spend almost all monday to find that solution , its not as complicated as it can look at first time.

Game is quite fantastic Sir! Even with some bugs it already have! BUY just like me , now You can enjoy its all feautres without net connections even!

I suspect this site will also have to make a decision about your post also
but as for myself I see no problem with it although it maybe needing
posting in the members only section ( Child boards) to protect any copyright issues.   

Edit .... This issue is not in Ubisoft's best interests. Well SH5 is not in mine so stuff it Ubisoft

For now, I have not bought SH5. I'm too busy in real life to get into any game. But I do monitor my forum, read the posts here, and in other forums, as much as I now can.

I have looked this through, and I have noticed that the official forum has temporaily removed the post from public view to be investigated by their legal department.

However, I have been modding SH3 and SH4 since the beginning, so I would think I know just a little about it, and in that post of yours it looks more like a tutorial of how to play a legal copy offline, as 95 % of the community wishes it, than a description as to how to crack it. A crack is defined in modifying the executive files with the file extension exe. Sofar, I see nowhere a description as how to crack it. Nor do I see links to the socalled crack. I see a description as to how to modify text files plus adding units from previous versions, just like modders have done between SH3 and SH4. As long as it follows that pattern, and that alone, I will allow it for now. But it may change. Only time will tell. I cannot guarentee it. Please understand.

SHMF follows the same pattern as other forums and will not allow guidelines to cracks nor allow download links to sites where cracks can be found!!!

It is purely a tutorial in changing files in a legal copy of SH5.
I.E Modding your own game files nothing more.
as you have stated this is what Modding is all about so
I cannot see any reason that Ubisoft would not allow this to
be shown Unless they conceder everyone who reads it will
misuse this.
Oh hang on a minute that's why they use DRM in the first place
because anyone who buys one of their games is a Criminal as far
as they are concerned.

Yes I must admit I was tempted to buy SH5.
I even went into my local PCWorld with the cash in my hand and picked it up.   
But then my eye caught a game in the barging bucket side of the shelves.
It was Silent Hunter 3 now released by "Revival" software and right next to it
was SH4 in the original package.
I also spotted Trainz Simulator 2009 so down went SH5. 
Ok lets sum this up.

SH3 = £4.99  (Free copy)
SH4 = £4.99
Trainz = £9.99

Not bad and that's what went with me to the checkout.
So I have a backup copy of SH3 just encase my original disk fails
A copy of SH4 to checkout if it has improved.
And Trainz 2009 which is a good game I must admit.
And to top it off when I got to the Checkout it was buy two get one free.   

That is a much better choice then SH5 for sure

I must have a faulty copy because it runs fine.
no stuttering no graphic cliches when i told the deck gun to fire on a ship thats
what they did
I will have to play it properly and find all these faults

It has been stated by ms-Kleaneasy the Ubisoft silent hunter 5 UK Forum Manager
that you need an internet connection to initially log into the game and once you have
you don't then need to be connected.
But there is no mention if one is needed when ending the game
