Hello from Germany,

I read a lot (and until now, this is A LOT) in the past few weeks about modding Silent Hunter 5, and I was looking for a soft start with a mod that doesn't break anything. In the early 90's, night after night was spent with Silent Service II, followed by Silent Hunter II ... and a long break. Via Silent Hunter Online I came back to the series, which seemingly are not well playable unless altering the game. The community provides already stuff to spend a lifetime on, and though I am not a modding professional, I am eager to learn more about how things work in this everlasting sim... I would like to feel immersion in the game as close as possible. If any language skills are needed, I speak German, Dutch, French fluently (and of course English).
