Ahoy Skippers
« on: December 28, 2013, 12:07:06 AM »
Greetings sub skippers:  I've returned to play after a computer crash, but have lost all mods.  I've reloaded RSRDC plus TMR, and have had an excellent initial tour from Cavite.  This is my all time favorite game, which I've played for many years.  My only game gripe is the excessive Jap Air Force, and now they are more dangerous than ever before.  One wonders why the developers did not realize the Japs had an acute aviation fuel problem.  Oh, and dud torpedoes.  I've added an atmosphere mod, which improved visuals quite remarkably, but now want to get the radio working.  Just need some sharks to make it real.  I plan to check in here regularly to see what other skippers have encountered.  Have fun. . . . . I agree...the voraciousness of the IJNAF was one of the things that bothered me about SH4, too. In any event,  urWelcome aboard!

My Rock & Roll Boat:  This new boat rocks some 40% side to side, making the deck gun difficult to fire.  I mean, even on calm seas she rocks.  Deck crew are thrown overboard, and the cook refuses to work.  I know of no way to stop this boat from rocking.  Additionally, I loaded an atmosphere mod which has turned the world into a perpetual fog.  A Jap Destroyer rammed me from the fog, and we both did not noticed each other until the impact.  This is no way to fight a war.  Guess I must reload the game and restart my career to get rid of this eternal fog.   Just gripeing . . . . . Disabled the Atmos MOd to get rid of thick fog, but my boat she still rocks like crazy.  Problem started after loading the TMO Mod to RSRDC.  Maybe just go back to RSRDC?  Can not hit anything with the deck gun but sky or water.  Vertical stabilizer is working fine, so I can fire torpedoes,  But, the crew is always browned out and vomiting.  Not a good way to fight a war.  El Halcon

Went back to RSRDC Mod and all is well now.  The deck is stable and the fog is normal, so I'm happy to play SH4 again.  There were some good things about the TMO Mod, and now I miss them - but somehow the mod did not work for me.  Probly something I did wrong, but in any event the game she smooth now.  Having fun. . . .
