Giving it another go

Hey guys (and gals although I doubt there are many),

Finally decided to give Silent Hunter another go. Used to love SH3 but missed out SH4. Bought SH5 when it first came out but didn't really get on with it so kind of got side tracked with my flight sims. Watched Das Boot again the other day and it's made me hungry for U-Boat combat again. Can't wait to try out some of the new mods. It seems like whilst I have been flying in combat over war torn Europe you guys have actually made this game playable and good.
Great to see since I first downloaded SH5 they've changed the 'permanently on the internet' thing. That was the main reason I didn't really get into SH5. I live in Dubai now and the internet is sketchy at best so it was almost impossible to play. Anyway, I digress. Hope to speak to some of you soon and rack your brains for info, and hopefully be able to help in some way in return, or at least ramble on about stuff.
