From the land of SPAM, but not quite SPAM

Gentlemen:

I must say I rather like your approach to de-spamming the forums -- more hands-on than the usual "please interpret the muddled letters" thing.  Anyway, I'm checking in from the land of SPAM (Oahu, HI, that is...) but, my portly appearance notwithstanding, am not personally SPAM.  I do need to lose a few of these fatty rolls through (sigh... needs to jog).  Before I go jogging though, I might run a patrol or two across the Pacific in SH4, which I understand you guys have modded beautifully.  The radio mods have captured my immediate interest, although I am also seeking a mod or means to mod SH4 to make the damage system a little less arcadelike (i.e. keep hitting them until you reach the "hit points" value, then they sink immediately -- not realistic).  Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

 Just wanted to say hey. Sorry, I am currently playing SH5. I played SH4 a long time ago but don't remember a mod that did what your looking for exactly. IIRC there were several mods that randomized the damage of guns and torps kind of like critical hits.  I know SH5 has some decent mods for flooding a fire damage that help in the sinking of ships all it's slow.  I would try combining mods like those to see if you get the desired effect.

I left Hawaii and the Marines in 96. I was stationed at K-bay for years. I guess like most tourists, I thought "Mahalo" meant trash for at least a few months. It was on every trashcan you saw. I miss Hawaii sometimes. Very layed back folks. Most the locals didn't like me much because I was a jarhead but I liked them anyway. Loved the culture. I was surprised how so many of the legends and traditions of the polynesians mimics native American culture.
