Hello there.
Nice site you have here with a wealth of resources to make all the Silent Hunter games so much better...Mods are why I love my PC..as it allows for so much to be tweaked and added to games..and often,as is evident here the modders can outshine the devs..SH5 being a case in point.
Okay a little about me...
Forty something living in North Wales,married with an eight year old son..who is slowly becoming more and more interested in the games I play and who is content,when not playing on his DS or the Xbox to watch me for hours playing games.
Am now unable to work due to a head injury and find escapism and therapy in my gaming time and now going to finally tackle SH4(Need to get the U-Boat add on though) and 5..Loved SH3 especially with the GWX Grey Wolves mod but the newer games look to be more involved and it's this immersion that attracts me to them and now that SH5 looks to be improved so much will give it a crack....Going to use the Open Horizons mod..but thought I would see about membership here as there are a few other mods that appeal also..such as radio mods for the ambience and atmosphere of the times etc . and a slew of others...
On a sub related issue..My grandfathers both worked in the shipyards of Birkenhead during the war..My dad's father dying in an accident 2 months before my dad was born and my mum's dad working on various ships including the ill fated HMS Thetis(He missed the sea trials due to my nan being ill and his friend went instead..fate is a funny thing..and shame there are no British sub sims..maybe one day)
Not a modder myself but would hope to contribute to discussions and debate if you accept my membership...
