Hi johno I see you still have a bad taste in your mouth about your treatment on
Subsim it was a great shame the way it spiralled to your eventual Keelhaul
but in all honesty could you see it turning out any other way.
Surely you must have known taking on the members of GWX would be a lose
lose situation. The moneys they raised for Subsim has brought them the right
to pick and chose who is and who is not liked on the forums.
The GWX team itself sprouted a large amount of dribble about how another
Team had produce an add-on for Silent Hunter 3 (which was dam good at that time)
But because they released it as a pay for add-on that was wrong.
But was not the GWX gold addition firstly released as a donation to Subsim only download what is the difference.
We all witnessed Subsim taking the first steps in attempting to dominate all sites
By firstly starting a download section in an attempt to limit the amount of traffic
On other sites that at that time hosted Mods themselves.
It was only a matter of time before an attempt to swallow up the multi player side
of the game as it increased in popularity would also be attempted.
And also lets take a look back at the time leading up to the release of silent Hunter 5
Who was it in talks with the devs working on producing sh5. who was it giving
Them the feedback on what would be good and what would not be good to see
in a new game version and how the campaign could be changed for the better
and what was the result of there experienced input ….. Silent Hunter 5
the worst piece of uninteresting crap ever. The once completed throw it away
junk.
So yes I also have a bad taste about the way Subsim is handled if you seen the posts
On Subsim not so long ago about the Trojan infection on the forums you would have
Seen that I was one of the first to report that it was taking place.
My posts were lost in the “merging†of the thread even though I said the infection
was coming from the adverts while others were still saying there was no threat and
people should pay no attention to the warnings and set there security settings to lower
settings can you believe that.
I was also attacked by Neal Himself in an attempt to shut me up although when it was
Finally proved there was a problem he said sorry to all members Yer Right he just
Meant his little buddies.
So get use to it Subsim is not an open family as claimed it has its little group of
members who can do no wrong and don’t get pulled for crossing the line with
others. In fact I would go as far as say they seem to also have a say in who gets
brigged and Keelhaul.
With the decline in interest on the sites due to whatever reason there seems no point
In carrying bad feelings to the point you get in trouble on other sites.
But that said it is nice to air them from time to time and as for BTS Mods well that
is another story altogether.
