From about a 3 weeks im own a pretty nice game (that include some of submarines use too), called Hearts of Iron 3.
Yesterday i think of proposing a Forum Owner a creation of separate thread (like SH5Mods) for us who are playing this game (with useful links, hints and disscusion too).
Game is very interesting as it is very easy modable, and contains whole World War II topic. You can play as any of Countries (yes , even Ethiopia) from the whole world.
It has very big Goverments section, war reasearch, and whole game is genial that is a very a MUST HAVE for all history /politic / military hobbyst.
Mainly idea of the game that you are in control of ALL aspects of choosen Country. You control trade, reasearch, military, politics, laws, production, military amry structure (you can create your own system of divisions/brigades/corps), diplomacy and many many more (i.e. you can create Convoys, atack them ! , make a UK communists
, make a WWII doesnt start at all, and many other feautures).
It is easy to set ending date at lets say 3010 (game starts at 1936) and make Wolrd history by yourself.
Also game can be played at very low-end machines and require about 800mb of hard drive disc, it also contains nice graphics, music and COSMIC GAMEPLAY.
