Need help with mods

I've played all of the Silent Hunters but 5. I just got back into playing SH4. I have never played with mods before. So i decided to give it a shot. I have downloaded JSGME and i have downloaded a few mods,, its seems to be working. I downloaded Operation Monsun, Just the V705 just to see if it would work. I disabled all of the other mods, added OM V705. When i do a compare file snapshot it shows many new files and changed file.. But when i go on the game i do not see any difference. I would appreciate any help that i can get on this matter.
