: Help...With modding?
: JRT August 28, 2011, 05:38:42 PM
First, Let me say...that this to me is an honest question about modding.
I don't understand why the art of modding is watched over and kept tippy top secret by those who do it so well?
Those who don't have a lot of time to give to the sim, Like myself...need a speedy boat. A boat that won't take a near miss and suffer extreme damage by a lucky destroyer. With my in game saves not loading with out freezing after a few minutes it is frustrating!

So I ask...can some one here lend their modding talent's to help me? I have played with Goblin and can find my way around relatively well.
But modding for a tougher boat has eluded me. I'm still sailing "Lorka42's Type7 on crack" And I'm doing Western Approaches! I've turned down all the "New Boat" offers because Lorka's boat fit's my playing style right now.
I'm not asking any one to do it for me...Just some help on where to look and what to change. I've figured out the easy stuff...Speed and torps.
But the repair times and damage model are just not making sense?
Please don't be mad...To me I wouldn't say playing with Lorka's boat is "Arcadish?" scrtg....Just the way I like to sim right now.
Any way any help would be great...

Well, personally I'm not replying because I don't really know. I haven't messed with the Gobling editor of SH5, so I don't know how to do it. That's all. But maybe someone else does...
