Hello,

I just got SH3 on steam, and am installing the living silent hunter v5.1 pack and had a weird bug in which the game will freeze at 80% of loading a game mission,

I noticed a mod manager online and wanted to post for some help, as the mod looks amazing.

Anyway, I am from the Land Down Under (Australia) and running version1.4

Hi Blackadder51 and  urWelcome to SHMF
The Living Silent Hunter 3 v5.1 is a large file to say the least and when
loading a mission start a lot of resources are used.
at about 80% of loading LSH can seem to pause for what sometimes seems
quite a while and then it will continue.
However if the load has crashed out or the game returns to the desktop then
it maybe something to do with the amount of Ram Available Using the 4Gb_Patch
should solve this   thup1

I see, maybe I did not give it enough time.

Thank you for the quick response, also on my machine I have 4gb of RAM and whilst this is running it uses up to 90% RAM.

I have used the 4gb patch exe and it seemed to work, is this normal?

I only have an i5 @ 2.27ghz with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5165

As I said it uses a lot of resources but the game play is well worth it.
Maybe adding a few more Gb's of Ram would not hurt.
but in all fairness your machine should be able to run the game with little
problem.

I gave it a bit more time and it worked.

Thank you once again, :)

 urWelcome

And, nice choice of alias. I used to love that show, Black Adder, back in the late 80'ies/early 90'ies. However, the role of Mr. Bean was much more fun. I still laugh about it.
