Hi chaps!
Post here your best patrols or some most dramatic victories/losses.

Write a date , area , type of your Submarine, describe enemy, weather, etc.

Common.
January 1940 - U Boat type VIIC

Sea was pretty calm and ive been patroling for 2 days without any contact.
For me most awesome moment was when i encountered small Task Force patrol containing about 8 destroyers as escort and HMS Queen Elizabeth battleship (36.000 BRT).
It was nice dawn, at northern passages near Reyjkavik (about 30 miles south in straight line). Date was january and at the bridge we have a lot of ice.
Its was awesome to see that engine has that feauture. Seeing enemy ships covered with ice and slopes are just amazing !

Outcome was Queen Elizabeth sunk, and one of destoyers.  Queen gets 5 torpedoes to until she sinks (2 at turbines 1 at center  and 2 near the bow). She was quite damn hard to sink and i must follow her at periscope depth with horde of 7 destroyers on my back. She sailed about 2 hours partially submerged and laying almost on her port.
