Hello guy's..
I had a massive break from Silent Hunter 4, now I am back..for some reason..I wanna increase the speed of the submarines..but when I change it in the .cfg file of each submarine..nothing changes much..
I don't wanna increase it alot ..but just a little bit..
Could someone help me on this one please where I need to change this ?

You have to open the SIM file with S3D, if you know how to do that?
I have made a screen cap of S3D, so you know where to edit...

Another question..I have not found so far the speed for reverse? How or where could I modify that from the submarine ?
Also ....do you guys have as well so like "vibrating" waves? Like the water is vibrating...I can see it as best when I am free moving camera close to the water...
I mean the game runs smooth..I have the latest driver's from ATI..
But I had the vibrating water effect once...I think I do have it since the 1.5 version..
Not quite sure though..it is ok..but get's annoying as it does not have to be there at all.

To answer such questions, it's always the best to mention, which mod configuration you use.
JSGME has a function to create a list of the currently enabled mods:
tasks -> generate snapshot...., and then in the MODS folder you'll find a txt file with the current mod list.
Paste it here for better assistance.

Uhm...I am not using any mod's at all..I just wanted to change the travel speed and the water vibration"flickering" or whatever this is...is also without a mod.
So basically it is the normal edition(gold edition) with sh4 installed then straight the addon.
This game is but so freaking hard..The campaign..when it says go to honshu .....the star remains there for freaking ages..I float around and kill other things..but the mission itself never finishes..
The other time I had to take a picture of Japan the main city tokyo...same thing...went there but nothing happened..
I just came up and got shoot down....
....To hard this game really...I think it is fully bugged...why mission's take so freaking long? I mean..go to honshu and nothing happens at all.
Annoying :(
Anyone any tipps with that stuff?

Well, personally, I play with RSRDC plus RE1 plus some of my own mods.
RSRDC will give you a much better experience with the campaign, and it also removes some mission types like photo reckon. And it removes the super officers too.
RE1 will give you a much better, IMHO, graphic look regarding the environment.
So try to enable these two mods first and start up a new career, and you should get a new feeling about the game. Just try these two for now. You can find them both here.

Hello There
Well ...the SH15 installatin which is like 92mb in size...most of the file's are corrupt and I like downloaded it around 4 more times to see if the issue will be resolved..
There are also so many different files...I just got them all from the 2 links you provided me.
This one here install's only 14mb out of 92mb:
RSRDC_SH15_v550
Hope this could be fixed please as this is the campaign :(

First of all, do you have JSGME installed?
If not, you need to get it here:

Make sure, you're SH4 v1.5 is clean. It sounds to me that you may have copied mod files into the game folder by simple windows procedure. In that case you need to reinstall the game.
When installed, you install JSGME to your SH4 folder. In that folder, you'll double-click JSGME and it will create a folder named MODS. JScones site shows you how mods look like in JSGME.
You then have to redownload the two mods, move them to the MODS folder, and unzip them with 7zip, which you can get here:

When unzipped, you enable first RSRDC with JSGME and then RE1.

Ok I will do that at a later time...my sh4 installation is clean...Extraction the SH15 files are corrupt..that show's my winrar...over 2000 date is corrupt, everything else extracted fine..and no I did not just copy and paste into the sh4 folder.
Question..I am getting really stuck atm...
What does this Patrol to Honshu means? Am I having to spend hours and hours just to cruise around and gun down enemy ship's? Or this is game so very bugged that almost every single mission can't be completed?????
If I would at least know where I am standing with the game, it would make things easier.
Could someone help me with the meaning of that patrol stuff?
Besides I have that jsmge or whatever it is called.

What do you mean by extraction of SH15 files? Having SH4 v1.5 is the original SH4 game plus the uboat add on, which patches the game up to v1.5, and most mods are made for SH4 v1.5.
To help you further, it makes it a bit easier if you post an image of your JSGME mod list, like this is my mod list for my US career:

Uhm..I have there 0..0% nothing at all..I only run version 1.4 atm...I have the uboat mission pack...but not yet installed..I just wanna get this stupid mission done...
Patroll of Honshu Island..I have been sinking 20 merchant ships and a total of 88698 tonage I did...but the mission still shows incomplete...I have no clue what to do????

It's kind of difficult when I cannot see your screen.
I think you should abandon that mission, install the uboat add on, enable the mods, I mentioned and then start over a new career. Over the years, I have had to abandon careers too, because this or that came up and fucked up my otherwise perfect career. It's most annoying, but you know: shit happens. banghead
So get back up on the horse and ride on. You'll not regret it. Trust me. sm09

Sorry had a lot going on lately :(
Ok I have reinstalled Silent Hunter 4 with U Boat Missions to patch 1.5.
Now I have downloaded all necessary files...but however still 1 file is not working.

The Mod is still empty for now, but I would like to proceed, I think the download file is corrupt of the SH15 file.
Can someone please look into this and fix it?

Hello Guys Again
Here is a screenshot of my included stuff in the Generic Mod Enabler. Mind you allthough the SH15 mod is in there..95% of it is corrupt...the file size packed is 94 as downloaded from the website..however when entpacking the size is then only 15mbit.
So something is for sure really wrong here.
Someone needs to look at the SH15 file as it is 100% corrupt. I tried it with winrar and 7zip and downloaded the file today 4 times.
Here is another screenshot as of how it looks in my mod programm.
I will not add anything to the right as long as the sh15 mod is not working correctly.

Cant someone just reupload a working file for me to download again? I mean for sure the file is corrupt, meaning with a new upload the problem should be fixed and stuff...Oh well that I can uninstall sh4 again and leave it on 1.4.

I just grabbed the RSRDC_SH15_V550.7z the download size is 90.3mb the download speed was approx 290-320 kb/sec
Total 5mins to download all good so far.
Download complete file size showing at 90.3mb zipped file.
Attempted to un-zip the file without success archive files are corrupt even ran the test archive function and still the same message strange.
As soon as Carotio is not so busy I'm sure he will sort it out or tell us what we are doing wrong. scrtg

Hello guys
I downloaded the package and installed it like mentioned which one comes first.
However I dont see any differences then to the normal version.
The game is on patch 1.5 with uboat missions.
Is there really a difference or just cosmetic changes which are barely noticable?

only enable RSRDC_SH15_v550 with RE
you have to disable all mods now, and then enable RE + RSRDC_SH15_v550
The two RSRDC mods with either RFB or TMO in its name were made for those playing with EITHER RFB OR WITH TMO. What you have there is mod soup, and not what it was intended to be run. You'll only experience problems...

However I believe that now the mission's do complete correctly when I go patrolling and stuff, dont have to cruise around for ages and nothing happens, and for some reason I have now much better missions like sending a boat out to land and stuff, love this things :)
