Saphire 3850 512MB PCI-e fan problem
« on: September 06, 2011, 03:13:40 PM »
Hello all,

Since the launch of silent hunter 5 i was unable to play it because poor performance, so i sticked to Sh4 for a long time.
I was planning to buy a second card to put in to Crossfire mode for more power to play sh5 at normal fps.
The cards need to be same, so i checked the card and found out that the cooling fan looked the same when i got it out of the box(super clean)
after 5 years of running. The fan was not running at all for the last 5 years. Downloaded some tool to check the temp  sm01 around 100C ...
No wonder Sh5 whas running like crap. Rivatuner installed and put the fan on 70%. Sh5 runs smooth on 30fps sync frame rate on.

So if anyone has a :
